Brainlab ExacTrac Lung Demo
BrainLab's ExacTrac Dynamic machine can help reduce the needless irradiation of healthy tissue when performing radiotherapy treatment on Lung Tumors. BrainLab asked Level Ex to create an experience to help everyone, including non-medical professionals, understand how this new High-Precision Radiotherapy treatment would work and how it compares to Traditional Radiotherapy. The project was a very fast 3 week time-crunch and I think it ended up pretty cool in the time we had.
Read more about it or play through the experience at the bottom of BrainLab's website.
My work
One of the things I'm most proud of with this project was the Tumor DNA VFX. The idea was to show that the Tumor inside the lung was not being destroyed (like a traditional health bar would indicate) but instead the Tumor was changing from a threat to benign. I created a VFX Graph in Unity with a value that could be updated in an animation that the Level Designers set up. This way it would be easy to sync the visuals of the DNA Helix with the 3D visuals and the audio.

UI Style - "Plasma"
One of the things I continuously work on at Level Ex is the UI Design Style we call "Plasma". I've been working on it since the early days and I help maintain it as usable building blocks for the other UI Designers both in Unity and in Figma. Here is a smattering of images and videos of WIP stuff I worked on.
