Legend of Grimrock was developed and published by Almost Human in 2012. It's the first of the Legend of Grimrock series. I played this game a while ago and it's always been good fun for a short play-session. Although this game seems simple on the surface, the depth of it is what attributes to it's pen and paper feel.
Although this game is minimal when it comes to UI, there are still some major UX flaws with it. I won't dive deep into it's flaws because most of them might have fixed in Legend of Grimrock 2.
The 2 major UX flaws I've noticed is in the main menu and spell casting. On the Main Menu's Quit Confirmation Screen, the style of the "Are you sure you want to quit" wording is the same style as a button. Probably not the best choice but understandable to keep the amount of fonts down. Another solution would be to make more of a gap between "Quit" and the words. The second is just with the amount of clicks it takes to cast a spell. I understand that there's more combinations to cast spells, but it's still a lot of clicks and probably could've been organized better.
